Scania R 8×4 for Euro Truck Simulator 2
Catalogue: Sun, 09/06/2015 - 09:27

Adapted for transportation of overweight cargoes truck Scania R 8×4.
Mod adapted to patch 1.19 – 1.20
The basis is taken from the mod “Scania 2500HP engine + Chassis 8?4” which was published more than two years ago. Many thanks to the Mauricio Pietro.

List of changes:

Added this truck in showroom.
Added this truck in company.
Added real tuning engines:
DC12 15 420 HPI 11.7 Euro 5, DC13 10 440 XPI 12.7 Euro 5, DC13 07 480 XPI 12.7 Euro 5
Added real gearbox: GRSO 925, GRSO905R
Added branded headlights “Scania”.
Added camouflage skin.

Ratios gearbox and drive axles have real value.
The rest of the specifications of the truck as realistic as possible.

As the game transmission ratios and drive axles are registered in a single file, had to do a lot of the same transmission with different gear ratios differential gear.
This means that you can easily carry heavy cargo with a mediocre engine.
In order to avoid confusion, after the name of each transmission, I have two options – FG (first transmission gear ratio) and D (differential gear ratio).
The higher differential ratio (D), the more thrust and less top speed.

The archive contains a supplement addons to the trailers from Jazzycat (Cargo Packs v3.41, Military Cargo Pack v.1.61 and Railway Cargo Pack v1.61 ) which increased the mass of more than 100 cargoes.
The main modes you can download on the website of the author.

Tested on 1.19 – 1.20

Since the description of mod writer made no mention of the ban on the change in this mod, as well as publication of modified versions of this mod, I think that copyright is not violated.

Author model: Mauricio Pietro Parameters gearbox and chassis: Tornado

About 18 Wos
18 Wheels of Steel (sometimes abbreviated as 18 WoS) is a 3D animated series of trucking simulators published by ValuSoft and developed by SCS Software from 2003 to 2011. The series currently has 7 installments.
Much of the game's data is in a file named "base.scs". This file can be extracted with most zip compression software. Within the new folders are most of the game textures, including terrain, truck skins, backgrounds, and others, as well as code for cities, trucks, and other in-game objects. While the game's publisher, ValuSoft, does not provide support on exactly how to "mod" the game, there are several communities and sites dedicated to that purpose, creating even new maps and trucks.
